AdSense Alternative: Kanoodle

Kanoodle were one of the original pioneers of PPC marketing, having been around since 1999.

Kanoodle ads will appear on your site in pretty much the same way as AdSense ads do, and in almost any way that you care to think of, the two networks seem to operate remarkably similarly.

However, one thing that I can definitely say is that if there were ever a prize given out for a website that gives you almost zero information about a product, then Kanoodle would probably win it!

Take a look again and, if you did not do so last time, try following either of the ‘Advertiser’ or ‘Publisher’ links.

The first link will give you the most basic of information imaginable, (we do PPC and here is what that is) whereas the second simply takes you to a sign up form.

Now, sometimes you will hear or see the phrase that ‘less is more’ but in the case of Kanoodle, I don’t think so.

They are, after all, supposed to be trying to sell a service to both Advertisers and Publishers, but appear to be making the absolutely minimum amount of effort to do so.

As a potential customer of Kanoodle service, this would not give me a great deal of confidence.

Plus, information that I managed to find about Kanoodle from searches engines and so on shows that most of the information that is available dates from 2004 and 2005.

Put it this way, if you were an advertiser looking at various options for spending your budget, could you, hand on heart, feel confident when a website gives such an impression of minimum effort?

So, Kanoodle is one that I would be cautious with, if I was planning to use it.
