AdSense Alternative: Miva MC

Miva MC is a nice site and a great service too! Straight away, one look at the Miva site tells you that they have a service to sell, and that they are selling it big time!

The first thing that you will notice on the Miva site is that they offer three different types of textual ads for your pages.

You can use AdSense style ad blocks of various shapes and sizes or ‘in text’ ads that will ‘pop-up’ the ad itself when you roll the cursor over the in-line ad.

And then the third choice is that you can even integrate your own search results pages that stay on your site too!

Miva claim that they are the only ad network that can offer all three choices in this way and, whilst I do not know one way or another how accurate this claim is, nevertheless, Miva is a very well put together service.

They payout monthly, with a minimum threshold of $25, and the money can be sent by either check or PayPal.

Finally, the application is a simple one page online document and Miva claim that it will be reviewed and approved within 24 hours.

The only thing that I was not able to find on the site was any mention of whether a minimum numbers of visitors are required to ‘qualify’ but my feeling is that the site looks like one of the better options that I have reviewed, so I would be tempted to try anyway.

One note of caution.

They do suggest that, because they have different ad formats that you could combine Miva with ‘other advertisement’s’ that you already carry on your site.

By this I am assuming that they may be referring to AdSense. Well, maybe you can, but I would personally not recommend it!
